The Department of Plant and Soil Sciences at Oklahoma State University seeks applicants for a Senior Agriculturalist position. The position is available on June 1, 2017 until filled. The incumbent will assist the Principal Investigator in conducting research activities associated with the breeding and genetic experiments in turf, forage, and biofuel grasses. Major responsibilities include implementation of field trials (approximately 60% of time), maintenance of facilities and equipment (20% of time), assistance in greenhouse operation (10% of time), and other assignments given by the PI (10% of time).
Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in Plant and Soil Sciences, Agronomy or related agricultural field. Two years of relevant working experience is preferred. Experience with operating tractor and field equipment is required. Ability to repair and service small equipment used in research is desirable. Valid driver's license is needed. Have or be able to secure a pesticide application license. CDL will be needed or be able to obtain one within 6 months of hiring on their own expense.
