Plan and manage the NDSU Foundation seed production fields at the North Central Research Extension Center in Minot, ND. Oversee the operation of a new seed conditioning facility to ensure high quality Foundation-grade seed. Operate and maintain farm equipment. Communicate with staff at the NCREC, NDSU, ND State Seed Department, and seed growers. Oversee the maintenance of the facility. This position requires attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
Minimum Qualifications: • Bachelor’s degree in Agronomy, Ag Systems Management, Ag Economics, or related • Knowledge of foundation, registered, and certified seed production • Knowledge of farming operations • Knowledge of ND agriculture • Farm equipment operation and maintenance experience • Good interpersonal, oral and written communication skills • Demonstrated ability to work with a variety of personalities
Preferred Qualifications: • Prior seed production experience • Supervisory experience • CDL or ability to obtain • ND Commercial Pesticide Applicator license or ability to obtain
