The position embodies CSU’s land-grant mission by actively engaging with industry, agribusiness, government agencies and private citizens to co-create and deliver a diverse, dynamic, and self-sustaining portfolio of research, teaching and engagement programming that contributes to the Spur vision of global leadership at the nexus of food, water and health. The successful candidate will have a record of accomplishments in creating and operationalizing a strategic vision; managing administrative functions; developing and growing priority relationships; generating and managing resources; and fostering a climate of inclusion among faculty and staff, partners, and community.

• An earned Master’s degree or equivalent in agricultural sciences, natural resources, or closely related field that can include, but is not limited to, animal sciences, agricultural economics, agricultural education, agriculture engineering, agronomy, dairy science, entomology, equine sciences, food science, forestry, horticulture, natural resource management, plant pathology, range science, soil science and water-related science. • At least five (5) years of significant leadership and/or administrative experience (e.g. oversight of organizational structure, budget and personnel matters). • Demonstrated ability to develop effective relationships with diverse stakeholders including agribusiness, commodity organizations, local communities, academic partners, government agencies, non-government organizations and industry. • Demonstrated commitment to principles and strength of diversity and inclusive excellence in people and programs as demonstrated by administrative leadership, persistent effort, active planning, allocation of resources and/or accountability for diversity and inclusion outcomes. • Valid driver’s license or the ability to obtain a driver’s license or access to a qualified driver by start date.
