Postdoctoral Fellow - Molecular Breeding & Germplasm Development
The Crop Adaptation Lab at Colorado State University is seeking a postdoctoral fellow with expertise in molecular breeding & germplasm development. The primary responsibility of the postdoc will be to develop molecular breeding technology (markers, donor lines, haplotype maps) for climate-adaptive alleles in sorghum, which will allow African breeding programs to deploy these alleles in climate-resilient varieties. The postdoc will also collaborate with a team of postdocs at CSU, Penn State, and CERAAS-Senegal, to identify putative climate-adaptive alleles in sorghum from whole genome resequencing; and contribute to field and controlled-environment experiments to test hypotheses on the adaptive value of these alleles. The postdoc will p
