SOIL AND WATER TREATMENT
The Connecticut Agricultural Experiment Station, New Haven has an opening in the Department of Environmental Science and Forestry at the level of Assistant Scientist II to conduct original research on treatment, remediation, or resource recovery in soil and water media contaminated with organic or inorganic chemicals. Examples of broad topics within this scope are advanced oxidation/reduction processes, ‘trap-and-treat’ catalysis, point-of-use removal of metalloids, stabilization/remediation of vadose or saturated zone, stormwater runoff, and nutrient removal/recovery. The exact topic is less important than the novelty and potential significance.
