Supervisory Research Chemist/Geneticist/Agronomist
The USDA, Agricultural Research Service, Wheat Health, Genetics and Quality Research Unit, Pullman, WA is seeking a permanent, full-time Supervisory Research Chemist/Agronomist/Geneticist (GS-1320; 0471; 0440-12/13/14/15). Salary ranges from $79,363 to $170,532. Incumbent is the Director of the Western Wheat Quality Laboratory and conducts fundamental and applied research on the end-use quality of wheat and pulse crops used in nutritious food products. The focus is to determine how plant genetics and the growing environment of the plant impact quality and specific uses of wheat and pulses in food products. Leads efforts to determines the genetic, molecular, and biochemical basis for end-use quality, and to improve methodologies, technologies and instruments used for assessment of wheat
