Soil Fertility Program Research Assistant in the Agronomy, Horticulture and Plant Science Department at South Dakota State University. South Dakota State University is the state’s largest, most comprehensive university with more than 200 programs and an enrollment of approximately 12,000 students. We are looking for a person to help conduct on-farm research trials across South Dakota dealing with different fertilizer sources, rates, application times, and placement methods. We are looking for someone who can take soil samples, operate small and large farm equipment to prepare fields, apply fertilizer, plant crops, apply pesticides, and harvest crops.
