Post Doctoral Associate - Blueberry Photosynthesis
The Small Fruit Horticulture Lab at the University of Florida is recruiting a Post-Doctoral Research Associate for a project focused on blueberry photosynthetic responses at multiple biological scales. Our goal is to relate leaf, branch, and whole-plant responses to variation in photosynthetically active radiation in this woody perennial species. The research project will: 1) document the diversity of maximum leaf photosynthetic rates (Pnleaf) in a plant, 2) relate Pnleaf to branch photosynthetic rates (Pnbranch) using leaf phylotaxis and demography data, and 3) integrate Pnbranch and plant architecture data to build whole-plant photosynthesis models. In this position, you will be expected to build/adapt tools for photosynthesis researc
