The U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA), Agricultural Research Service (ARS), Mid-west Area, U.S. Dairy Forage Research Center (USDFRC), Dairy Forage Research Unit (DFRU), Madison, WI is seeking highly qualified candidates for a permanent full time Natural Resource Specialist/Soil Scientist/Agronomist.

Starting salary for this position is GS-9 ($57,118.00) with promotion potential to a GS-11. This position affords the opportunity to serve as a central resource and liaison for the Soil Health Collaborative team; work with the Soil Health Collaborative leadership team and the supervisor to ensure the operation plans reflect the teams' priorities and policies; develop and lead internal project communication processes and maintain coordination among various teams within the Soil Health Collaborative; coordinate with Lead scientist on submitting required documentation for agreements with project partners; work with all project-funded partners to oversee reporting on funded partners to oversee reporting on Soil Health Collaborative related research and outreach in coordination with all collaborative institutions; provide technical assistance during the grant proposal to interpret request for proposals (RFPs) for research/ education/ interpret request for proposals (RFPs) for research/ education/ outreach grant proposals.
