Research Agronomist/Plant Physiologist (Permanent)
Research Agronomist/Plant Physiologist (Permanent): The USDA-ARS North Central Agricultural Research Laboratory in Brookings, SD is seeking a scientist to plan and conduct field and laboratory research to examine how oat germplasm diversity and/or genetic background might impact the productivity and grain quality of oat, determine interactions of this diversity with the plant and soil ecosystem, and evaluate ecosystem benefits of including oat in crop rotations. Research will be conducted in collaboration with other scientists within and outside the Research Unit as a basis for developing cropping systems that improve the efficiency, resilience, and profitability of agricultural production in the Northern Plains and beyond.
