With offices in Minden and Reno, Nevada, we are well placed to serve our clients with Water and Wastewater Infrastructure, Grant Opportunities, Planning, Surveying, Site Development, Hydrology/Hydraulics, Landscape Architecture, Residential Design, Water Resources, Expert Testimony, Hazard Mitigation Planning, and Roadway Maintenance & Design.
We are seeking an experienced Surveyor / Remote Sensing Specialist to join our team. This position is 40 hours per week in our Minden or Reno offices.
Key Responsibilities• Assists Survey Director in preparing survey proposals and manage budgets.
• Assists Survey Director managing field crews and office technicians maintaining schedules and deliverables.
• Analyze field survey data, GPS data, LiDAR data and GIS data for project delivery.
• Understand tolerances and accuracy as they relate to project needs.
• Adhere to all safety procedures and policies.
• Assists in boundary analysis.
• Prepares plats and legal descriptions.
• Works closely with Director of Surveying, Project Managers, Engineers, and Designers to obtain project information and ensure drawings are accurate and complete.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise• Professional Land Surveyor (P.L.S.) license preferred but not mandatory.
• Proven experience in land surveying, with 6 years of relevant work experience.
• Proficiency in CAD software such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, or similar tools.
• Knowledge of ArcGIS & LiDAR technology.
• Proficient in State Plane Coordinate Systems.
• Proficient with Trimble Business Center.
• Strong organizational and project management skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong background managing staff and projects.
